Full time Assistant cheesemaker

Join our hardworking artisan cheese crew, where we craft award winning fresh and aged cheeses from beautiful Jersey cow’s milk. We distribute our cheeses regionally throughout the east coast and participate in a Philadelphia farmers market. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Valley Milkhouse is hiring a creamery crew member to work 4-5 days per week including 2 Saturdays per month. The ideal candidate enjoys cleaning, pays meticulous attention to detail, works quickly, maintains a positive attitude, has physical strength, and is self-directed. A great deal of the job is oriented towards cleaning and dishwashing which is crucial to food safety and making high quality cheese. Opportunities to learn about cheesemaking and cheese care will grow over time with experience. 

COMPENSATION

this position is: hourly, $20/hr to start
